In the latest Military Friendly Schools rankings, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide Campus earned the No. 1 ranking in the online programs category. The university’s Prescott, Arizona, campus ranked No. 4 in its respective category.

The 2025-26 rankings — released April 3 via G.I. Jobs Magazine and the MilitaryFriendly.com website — evaluated more than 800 institutions across the nation. The schools were grouped into several categories and four award levels: Top Ten, Gold, Silver and Bronze. The Top Ten status represented the highest distinction.

Earning Top Ten status, Embry-Riddle’s Worldwide Campus ranked No. 1 in the category of Non-Traditional/Online Only/Vocational institutions. Embry-Riddle’s Prescott Campus also earned Top Ten status, ranking No. 4 in the Private University Not Offering a Doctorate category, a jump of four spots from last year. Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach, Florida, campus secured Gold status in the Private University Offering a Doctorate category.

“Embry-Riddle takes great pride in understanding the experiences and educational needs of our military members, veterans and their families,” said Embry-Riddle President P. Barry Butler, Ph.D. “It is an honor to be recognized as providing them with an exceptional higher education experience, particularly through our Worldwide Campus, which gives them access to top programs wherever they are in the U.S. and globally.

The Military Friendly Schools Survey evaluates colleges and universities using public data sources and survey responses. Weighted criteria include academic policies and compliance; graduation and career outcomes; culture and commitment; military support and retention; admissions and orientation; and financial aid and loan repayment.

In the 2024-25 rankings, all three Embry-Riddle campuses earned Top Ten status. Publications such as “U.S. News & World Report,” Military Times and G.I. Jobs have consistently named Embry-Riddle as among the best universities for veterans, active-duty military personnel and their families.

In 1970, Embry‑Riddle Worldwide offered its first courses at a military base. The Worldwide Campus now provides a variety of degree programs to more than 23,000 students online and at more than 100 campus locations, the majority of which are at military bases in the United States and around the globe. Nearly half of the undergraduate and graduate students taking classes online or at U.S. and overseas locations through the Worldwide Campus are affiliated with the military.
