Embry-Riddle Reports 13 New Cases of Covid-19, Nov. 12-18, Urges Testing Before Thanksgiving

Thirteen people at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University tested positive for Covid-19 during the timeframe Nov. 12-18.

That case count included 10 at our Prescott, Arizona, campus and three at our Daytona Beach, Florida, campus. There were no new positive cases at our Worldwide Headquarters campus.

In addition, on the Prescott Campus, 30 people were quarantined after being exposed to the virus during this timeframe. No one was quarantined on the Daytona Beach Campus.

Get Tested Before Thanksgiving!

Before the busy holiday season, get tested and be entered to win a collectible Speed Champions 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Lego Kit. Rapid testing is available.

Covid-19 initial vaccinations and booster shots are also available on both residential campuses.

Those who completed their Moderna or Pfizer vaccination series six months ago, and those who completed their single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine two months ago can get a booster shot.

Prescott Campus

On the Prescott Campus, the Wellness Center is offering the Moderna vaccine and booster shots for faculty, staff and students, while supplies last, Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please note: Shots will not be available on Thanksgiving.

Get a Covid test on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 8–11 a.m. and be entered to win a Speed Champions 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Lego Kit! The prize winner will be notified Wednesday, Nov 24.

Covid-19 testing is also available at the Wellness Center, for anyone who has symptoms or thinks they may have been exposed. Testing is fast, easy and painless.

Daytona Beach Campus

On the Daytona Beach Campus, clinics will take place at the Mori Hosseini Student Union on Tuesday, Nov. 23 and Wednesday, Nov. 24, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The prize winner will be notified on Nov. 24.

In addition, Daytona Beach Campus faculty, staff and students can receive their first or second dose or their booster shot at Health Services on a walk-in basis, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Bring your health insurance card, your Eagle ID card, and for those seeking a booster vaccine, your vaccination card.

Embry-Riddle continues to emphasize two key preventive strategies:

  • Wear your mask at all times inside Embry-Riddle buildings and aircraft.
  • Get vaccinated as soon as possible, if you have not already done so.

  • 0 people in quarantine
