Embry-Riddle Releases Covid-19 Test Results for Oct. 1-7

Masked students in classroom

Ten people at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University tested positive for Covid-19, during the timeframe Oct. 1-7. That case count included eight at our Daytona Beach, Florida campus and two at our Prescott, Arizona campus. There were no new positive cases at our Worldwide Headquarters campus.

In addition, on the Daytona Beach Campus, five people were quarantined after being exposed to the virus during this timeframe. On the Prescott Campus, two individuals were quarantined.

Embry-Riddle is continuing to emphasize two key preventive strategies:

  • Wear your mask at all times inside Embry-Riddle buildings and aircraft.
  • Get vaccinated as soon as possible, if you have not already done so.

Please review our quarantine and isolation protocols, which are based on U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance.

Embry-Riddle is continuing to offer testing and vaccinations on both of its residential campuses. In addition, multiple off-campus locations are offering Pfizer booster shots. Under U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention guidelineseducation staff are eligible for booster shots, even if they are not 65 or immunocompromised. This includes teachers and support staff members, as well as healthcare workers, food service and agricultural personnel, and others. Of course, before seeking out a booster shot, you may wish to speak with your healthcare provider about whether an additional dose is appropriate for you.
