Dear Embry-Riddle community:

With more and more people getting vaccinated against Covid-19, a collective weight is slowly lifting. We are beginning to reclaim the freedoms that we enjoyed before the global pandemic.

Today, I am pleased to announce that, in keeping with new health recommendations, students and employees who have been vaccinated will no longer need to wear masks outdoors at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. This will apply to our Flight Operations ramps and open-air hangars as well as all other outdoor settings. Guidance will be provided on a case-by-case basis for large outdoor events. Masks are still required inside aircraft.

Please be sure to apply for your Embry-Riddle All Clear badge as soon as you have been fully vaccinated. Review our online instructions for uploading your documentation. The All Clear badge will ensure that you can take advantage of all the benefits associated with being vaccinated, such as skipping daily wellness checks and going on necessary university-sponsored trips within the United States.

As Embry-Riddle’s Core Leadership Team noted earlier this week, this is a great next step in relaxing some of our strict safety protocols and resuming more of our regular activities.

All of your efforts to promote safety during the global health crisis are beginning to pay off – thank you. Please remain vigilant, and continue to wear masks indoors as we navigate this last leg of the journey, together.
