Speaker Series: Valerie Plame Wilson

The President’s Speakers Series welcomes Valerie Plame Wilson, author of Fair Game: My Life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House.

President’s Speakers Series host Marc Bernier speaks with Former CIA operative and author Valerie Plame Wilson about her book, Fair Game: My Life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House. They will also discuss politics and her life as wife of former Ambassador Joe Wilson. A question and answer session and book signing followed the discussion with Bernier.

Wilson’s best-selling memoir Fair Game was also released as a major motion picture of the same name starring Sean Penn and Naomi Watts. She narrated and appeared in the critically acclaimed documentary on the dangers of nuclear proliferation, Countdown to Zero. Wilson is also the author, with Sarah Lovett, of the spy novel Burned.

Wilson works as the Director of Community Outreach at the Santa Fe Institute, a nonprofit research think tank that promotes multidisciplinary collaboration in the sciences, and is a consultant to Warner Brothers TV. She has a bachelor’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University and graduate degrees from the London School of Economics and the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium. She lives in Santa Fe, N.M. with her two children and her husband, retired U.S. Ambassador Joe Wilson, author of the New York Times bestseller, The Politics of Truth. (Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015)
