For the second year in a row, Embry-Riddle has been ranked among the nation’s “Great Colleges to Work For” by The Chronicle of Higher Education, the nation’s most respected publication covering colleges and universities.

In addition, this year The Chronicle designated Embry-Riddle as an Honor Roll school for rating highly in the following six categories: Job Satisfaction; Compensation and Benefits; Respect and Appreciation; Work/Life Balance; Facilities, Workspace and Security; and Professional/Career Development Programs.

The ranking in The Chronicle’s fifth annual report on The Academic Workplace is based largely on a survey of more than 46,000 college and university employees nationwide, with only 103 institutions achieving “Great College to Work For” recognition for their best practices and policies.

Embry-Riddle is widely acknowledged as an exceptional employer. This year the Orlando Sentinel named the University one of Central Florida’s “Top 100 Companies for Working Families” for the eighth consecutive year while Florida Trend magazine for the third time ranked Embry-Riddle among Florida’s “Best Companies to Work For.” Also, BestCompaniesAZ recognized Embry-Riddle as one of the “100 Best Places to Work in Arizona” this year and one of Arizona’s “Most Admired Companies” in 2011.

“Our faculty and staff are the foundation of our University, and the stronger the foundation the higher Embry-Riddle can grow,” said University President Dr. John P. Johnson. “We make it a priority to offer flexible, creative benefits within a culture of caring.”

Embry-Riddle employs over 2,500 faculty, staff and administrators worldwide.
