Phi Kappa Phi Charter Awarded to Prescott Campus

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi

A charter of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, which “celebrates academic work of extraordinary quality, exemplary leadership, and research that advances human knowledge,” was recently awarded to the Prescott campus. Phi Kappa Phi offers numerous benefits that can assist members throughout their academic and professional lives. The global focus on resources allows members to connect and network with one another from every corner of the world.

“Phi Kappa Phi is unique in that it recognizes accomplishments across all disciplines, making it a perfect fit for the diversity and uniqueness of disciplines represented by Embry-Riddle,” said Dr. Anne Boettcher, Director of Undergraduate Research and Honors Programs.

In addition to academic recognition, benefits include: academic fellowships, study abroad grants, networking opportunities, mentoring, and GS level upgrades.

The Prescott campus petitioned for a charter in the Spring of 2015 and was awarded prior to the winter break. The next steps are to establish officers, go through charter training, establish by-laws and plan an installation ceremony. The first set of students will be nominated this spring for next fall, depending on the timing of the installation.
