Alumnus Keegan Kirkpatrick and his startup company, RedWorks, were recently featured in the Fast Company article “RedWorks Wants to Build Your First Home on Mars.”

"It has been an amazing journey for all of us at RedWorkssince we built our team nearly a year ago for the NASA Centennial 3D Printed Habitat Challenge," Kirkpatrick said. "Today, we are working on developing our next version of our habitats and infrastructure, manufacturing processes, and spinoff technologies that people will be able to make use of right here on Earth.

"It was a rocky journey for me after I graduated, like many of us who entered into the job market at the height of the sequester, but had it not been for the experiences I gained at Embry-Riddle I would never have been able to build my team and make it as far as I have. We're still not done -- building a businesses is a lot of work -- but it’s the most rewarding experience of my life, and I wouldn't trade it for anything."

Keegan Kirkpatrick, RedWorks team lead, earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering degree in 2013. Learn more about his company at its website, its Twitter and conntect on Facebook.
