Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Asia and the University of South Australia (UniSA) signed an agreement to develop a suite of global, dual-award degree programs designed to bolster the talent demanded by the expanding aerospace industry around the region at the 2016 Singapore Airshow. The collaborative programs will address rapidly evolving areas such as unmanned vehicles, next generation aircraft, human factors and aviation management.

Courses will be delivered to maximize student accessibility across the globe using Embry-Riddle and UniSA campuses in the United States, Australia and Asia in addition to Embry-Riddle’s top-ranked online course offerings.

“We are designing this partnership with UniSA to meet the challenges driven by the extensive growth and technological advancement in the global aerospace arena,” said Embry-Riddle’s Interim President Dr. John R. Watret. “By joining the world-renowned expertise and passion of both institutions we will shape industry professionals for successful careers.”

The relationship between the two acclaimed international institutes of higher learning began in early 2015 with an agreement to expand undergraduate and graduate aviation degree opportunities, in addition to academic and professional development for University of South Australia’s faculty and staff.

“UniSA is delighted to partner with Embry-Riddle, the world’s leading aviation and aeronautical university, to play a central role in an industry which is one of the most important especially in Asia for the rest of this century,” said UniSA Vice Chancellor and President, Professor David Lloyd. “China, Indonesia and many other countries have just begun what will be an unprecedented growth in all aspects of aviation, and we will ensure our top-ranked engineering faculty is fully engaged in supporting this growth.”

The University of South Australia is one of the latest international institutions to join forces with Embry-Riddle, which in addition to campuses in the United States has established a presence in Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East.
