Embry-Riddle Worldwide Assistant Professor Mary Kathleen Gorman will serve as a judge for the Academic Research Competition at the 64th Annual International Association of Emergency Managers Convention later this month.

“I am excited to represent Worldwide on the academic competition judging panel and look forward to collaboratively advancing emergency management research in this particular forum,” said Gorman, who serves as the associate program chair of the Department of Security & Emergency Services.

The IAEM convention is the largest annual emergency management conference, bringing together more than 2,500 homeland security and disaster professionals.

The convention will also host an emergency management expo where Embry-Riddle will have a booth to answer questions about degree programs in the Department of Security and Emergency Services.
