Embry-Riddle Worldwide Commencement Increases Graduates in Texas
The ceremony featured students earning undergraduate and graduate degrees from seven Worldwide campuses in Texas and Louisiana, which have seen an increase in graduation attendees of 50 percent, according to William Muldoon, Embry-Riddle Worldwide Vice Chancellor of Campus Operations.
Graduating students represented Embry-Riddle Worldwide locations in Fort Worth Alliance, Fort Worth (NAS Joint Base Fort Worth), Wichita Falls (Sheppard Air Force Base), Abilene (Dyess Air Force Base), San Antonio (Joint Base San Antonio), Houston, Bossier City, Louisiana (Barksdale Air Force Base) and the Online Campus.
The commencement address was delivered by Raymond J. Santa, Steering Committee Director and Scholarship Program Leader for the North Texas Business Aviation Association (NTBAA). Santa, a two-time alumnus of Embry-Riddle (Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Studies and a Master of Business Administration in Aviation) has worked for numerous Fortune 500 companies including American Airlines, Bell Helicopter Textron, Flight Safety and TAG Aviation in positions ranging from flight instructor and pilot, to selling aircraft and aircraft equipment.
“Mr. Santa delivered a rousing commencement address that inspired the graduates and emphasized the importance of developing a professional network and leveraging it for success,” Muldoon said. “Seeing the considerable increase in Embry-Riddle graduates here underscores the importance of this region to the industry and how Texans continue to benefit from a career-focused, real-world Worldwide education that truly opens doors.”
