Embry-Riddle Media Availability and Event Schedule at Singapore Airshow 2018

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the world’s oldest and largest institution of higher learning specializing in aviation and aerospace, will participate for the seventh consecutive time in the Singapore Airshow 2018 on Feb. 6-11 at the Changi Exhibition Centre in Singapore.

Throughout the week, university representatives and leadership as well as faculty, students, graduates and special guests will be at the Embry-Riddle Chalet at CS20 and Exhibition stand at N77.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS (FEB. 6-11):

  • Tuesday (Feb. 6)
    • News release – Official announcement of new Flight Minor in partnership with Singapore Airlines to allow Embry-Riddle Asia bachelor’s in Aeronautics students to get hands-on flight training at Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach, Fla., campus.
  • Wednesday (Feb. 7)
    • Noon to 1:30 p.m. at Chalet – Women in Aviation International-Singapore Chapter Leadership Panel and Networking Reception with special guests representing Asian Business Aviation Association, Boeing Singapore, Thales Solutions Asia Pte Ltd. and University Weather. Panel will discuss their respective organizations’ efforts to nurture a culture of gender diversity and inclusion as well as share best practices.
  • Thursday (Feb. 8)
    • 10:15 a.m. at Chalet – Special guest Sir Stephen Dalton, President of the Royal Aeronautical Society, will speak to students.
    • 7-9 p.m. at the WingsOverAsia hangar at Seletar Airport (#03-01 WOA Aviation Hangar 66, Seletar Airport, Singapore 797509).  Embry-Riddle Asia Campus will host an Alumni and Friends reception expected to be the campus' largest graduate gathering in its history. Event is closed to the public, but media is invited to attend (contact information below). Alumni can register to attend here.
  • Sunday (Feb. 11)
    • 2-4 p.m. at Chalet - Cafe Aviators event featuring current female undergraduate students discussing and sharing experiences as students at Embry-Riddle Asia.
  • NOTE: Starting Thursday, Feb. 8 through Sunday, Feb. 11, Embry-Riddle Asia will also have a presence in the Singapore Airshow Aero Campus (SAAC) – an area devoted to aspiring aviation professionals of tomorrow to learn about developments in the aviation and aerospace industry and explore higher education and career opportunities in the aerospace and aviation sector.
