Embry-Riddle Eagles from the Asia Campus in Singapore attended the inaugural Rotorcraft Asia and Unmanned Systems Asia exhibition and Trade Show last month.
Eighty companies representing over 20 countries showcased the entire civil helicopter industry, catering to the growing civil, medical, rescue and parapublic aviation needs in the flourishing Asia market.
Education Day at the joint expo was designed to inspire and nurture the next generation of industry professionals with talks by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical UAS specialists. Students learned about the latest technologies and innovations from industry leaders present at the exhibition.
Embry-Riddle Worldwide College of Aeronautics’ Dean, Dr. Kenneth Witcher, gave a keynote address on UAVs, UAS and their future applications. Audience members were able to try Embry-Riddle Virtual Reality scenarios and Witcher displayed his flying skills, piloting a UAV in front of a captivated audience.
