This in-depth workshop will introduce and familiarize participants with inspections using unmanned systems (sUAS). Critical to efficient flight operation and data collection is an understanding of sUAS regulations, the need for aviation safety, pre- and post-flight planning, maintenance and communications. These factors are essential to planning and conducting safe inspection operations and developing mission profiles for any organization. All those who complete the workshop will receive CEUs from Embry-Riddle.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and once again offer a comprehensive course for commercial drone users. This year’s course will provide an in-depth look at the most current information regarding conducting inspections with sUAS,” said Joelle Coretti, Vice President and Event Director of Drone World Expo. “Attendees will come away from this intensive workshop with a Certificate of Completion and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from this prestigious aeronautical university.”
The workshop will be offered on Monday, Oct. 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., one day prior to the start of Drone World Expo 2017 on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
Register now for the sUAS course and Drone World Expo 2017. Space is limited. The cost to register is $349 until Sept. 22, and includes lunch and refreshments on the workshop day. About Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide UAS Program
In the next 10 years, use of both small and large UAS is expected to have explosive growth. Embry-Riddle Worldwide’s College of Aeronautics is focused on providing students with the most relevant global innovations in UAS and personal involvement in this growing aerospace frontier. Worldwide currently offers a Bachelor of Science in Unmanned Systems Applications, an undergraduate minor in Unmanned Aerial Systems, a Master of Science in Unmanned Systems, a graduate UAS specialization, and professional sUAS education opportunities. Embry-Riddle was one of the first schools in the nation to offer a degree in UAS.
Embry-Riddle Worldwide’s faculty and the courses they teach bring UAS expertise directly into the classroom. Students actively explore new uses and control interface improvements and operational enhancements to ensure an understanding of the technology, while applying best safety practices. Graduates will enter an industry expected to create more than 100,000 jobs and have an $80 billion-plus economic impact on the U.S. economy in the next 10 years once UAS is integrated into the national airspace.
