Wear a Mask – Get Vaccinated

Since the Aug. 30 start of fall semester classes, 47 people at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University have tested positive for Covid-19. The case count includes 39 at our Daytona Beach, Florida campus, seven people at our Prescott, Arizona campus, and one person at our Worldwide Headquarters campus have tested positive for Covid-19.
In addition, on the Daytona Beach Campus, 204 people are currently in quarantine after being exposed to the virus. On the Prescott Campus, 24 individuals are in quarantine.
Although some vaccinated people are getting “breakthrough” cases of Covid-19, those cases tend to be relatively mild, not requiring hospitalization, healthcare professionals reported. Embry-Riddle is continuing to emphasize two key preventive strategies:
- Wear your mask at all times inside Embry-Riddle buildings and aircraft.
- Get vaccinated as soon as possible, if you have not already done so.
Please review our quarantine and isolation protocols, which are based on U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance.
