Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s online bachelor’s degree programs were rated the highest among private institutions and in the top 15 across the United States, according to the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings.

Among all schools — both private and public — Embry-Riddle’s Worldwide Campus tied for the No. 12 overall ranking, an advance of one spot from 2024. The publication assessed 350 U.S. schools for the 2025 rankings.

Additionally, for the second consecutive year, Embry-Riddle Worldwide ranked No. 5 overall among the best online bachelor’s degree programs for veterans. Worldwide’s Engineering master’s degree programs tied for the No. 12 overall rank and the No. 7 rank in best programs for veterans. Both rankings advanced two spots from 2024.

“Embry-Riddle’s Worldwide Campus continues to receive national recognition for excellence,” said Worldwide Chancellor John Watret, Ph.D., FRAeS. “Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to ensuring the success of our students globally. We provide a world-class education focused on practical problem-solving and exceptional training in the fields of aviation and aerospace.”

Embry‑Riddle Worldwide — which offers the university’s online programs and in-person classes at more than 100 locations across the United States, South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East — currently serves nearly 24,000 students, of which nearly half are military-affiliated. Many of Worldwide’s learning centers are located on military installations.

The Worldwide Campus has long been highly ranked by U.S. News & World Report. Rankings are based on criteria that include student engagement, student services and technology, faculty qualifications and academic quality as measured by experts. To qualify in the best-for-veterans category, U.S. News & World Report requires that institutions accept GI Bill tuition waivers and Yellow Ribbon funding.

In this year’s rankings, Worldwide’s undergraduate and graduate Business programs also performed well. Its undergraduate Business programs ranked No. 41 overall, while its master’s Business programs tied for the No. 51 overall rank and the No. 25 rank for veterans. Its online MBA programs tied for the No. 75 rank overall and the No. 49 rank for veterans.

Embry-Riddle Worldwide is known for innovative approaches to engaging with online students. This includes virtual labs, such as those focused on robotics and accident investigations, extended reality applications and an active virtual Student Union.

Worldwide’s Asia Campus recently relocated to a new state-of-the-art training center at Seletar Aerospace Park in Singapore. It boasts cutting-edge facilities, including immersive virtual training labs, advanced air traffic management simulation systems and specialized training areas for uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), or drones.

Embry-Riddle Worldwide offers 26 undergraduate and 24 master’s programs. Its online degree programs feature a variety of start dates, and courses generally run for nine weeks.
