Prescott Campus to Reopen Recreational Facilities

The Prescott Campus will be reopening recreational facilities and the fitness center, with strict health precautions in place, beginning on May 26.

 

Participants must practice physical distancing, maintaining at least six feet of separation whenever possible. Face coverings are also strongly recommended for those using designated recreational facilities, given the risk of close contact between individuals.

 

Face coverings are not required in *designated outdoor recreation areas*, but remain mandatory in all *common* areas, indoors and outdoors, whenever you are on campus. Facilities will be available for current students, faculty and staff only.

 

The following facilities are available for use by faculty, students and staff, as of May 26:

 

Tennis Courts: 
Daylight hours only.
Singles play only – maximum of two people per court.

Sand Volleyball Courts:
Daylight hours only.
Limit the number of players to a maximum of four on each side of the net.
Ramada open, maximum of 10.
BBQ grill closed.

Artificial Turf Field:
Daylight hours only.
No more than 10 people on any one field at a time.

Upper Track:
Daylight hours only
No more than 10 people on any one field at a time.

Fitness Center:
Monday- Friday
8:00 am – 12:00 pm (closed from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm for cleaning) and 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Closed Saturday and Sunday 

  • All Fitness Center users must show verification of a wellness check and wash or sanitize their hands upon entering the facility.
  • Face masks are required while in the facility and working out.
  • The Fitness Center will have a limited capacity of 25 people at a time.
  • The Cardio Room in the Fitness Center will be limited to 10 people at a time.
  • Restrooms will be limited to 2 people at a time.
  • The aerobics room will be limited to 3 people at a time.
  • All visitors will need to bring their own water and towel.
  • All users of the Fitness Center will be given a cloth and cleanser to wipe down each piece of equipment before and after use. 
  • Fitness center equipment has been spaced out or temporarily closed in order to promote physical distancing.
  • No spotting on equipment.

Pool:
Monday – Friday
10:00 am – 1:00 pm (closed from 1:00 – 2:00 pm for cleaning) and 2:00 – 5:00 pm
Closed Saturday and Sunday.
Pool will each have a limited capacity of 25 people at a time.
Showers at the pool will be open for rinse off before and after use.
