For the 12th year in a row, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has earned a coveted spot on the Orlando Sentinel’s annual list of Central Florida’s Top 100 Companies.

This survey and award program managed by Best Companies Group identifies and honors companies that demonstrate superior workplace benefits and policies and whose employees report high levels of satisfaction in the areas of pay and benefits; job duties; relationship with supervisor; work environment; training; development and resources; leadership and planning; and corporate culture and communications.

The selected employers fall into three size categories — small (15 to 99 employees), medium (100 to 499 employees), and large (500 employees and above). Embry-Riddle has nearly 1,500 employees in Central Florida and 700 others around the world.

“We’re very proud that once again Embry-Riddle has been honored for our long-term commitment to continual enhancement of employee benefits,” said Brandon Young, Embry-Riddle Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “We especially strive to assist faculty and staff in achieving a true balance between their work life and home life. It’s our way of showing our employees that they are valued members not only of their own families but also of the Embry-Riddle family.”

Embry-Riddle employee benefits include several paid holidays, including the week off between Christmas and New Year’s Day, a generous personal leave program, a four-day summer workweek, a 403(b) retirement plan with Embry-Riddle gift and matching contribution, health insurance with vision and dental coverage, a telecommuting option and a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program. A tuition waiver program offers free tuition to employees and family members, with employees allowed paid time off to attend Embry-Riddle classes. Other annual rankings also honor Embry-Riddle as an outstanding employer. Last month, for the sixth straight year, the Chronicle of Higher Education named the university a Great College to Work For. Also this year, AZcentral.com listed Embry-Riddle among the Top 100 Companies to Work For in Arizona.
