JetBlue Airways CEO Joanna Geraghty to Speak at Embry-Riddle, April 17

Joanna Geraghty, chief executive officer of JetBlue Airways Corp., will address students, faculty and staff at Embry-Riddle at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 17.

The event, part of Embry-Riddle’s Presidential Speaker Series, is open to the public. It will take place in the Capt. Willie Miller Instructional Center, Gale Lemerand Auditorium, on the Daytona Beach Campus.

Geraghty will be interviewed by Madison Seymour, an Embry-Riddle student studying Aeronautical Science with a minor in Airline Operations and Applied Meteorology. The event will be hosted by Embry-Riddle President P. Barry Butler, Ph.D. Embry-Riddle Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Dr. Kelly Austin will also be on hand to help kick off the evening.

Before becoming CEO of JetBlue Airways Corp. in February 2024, Geraghty had served as president and chief operating officer since 2018. Earlier, she served as JetBlue’s executive vice president, customer experience, responsible for airports, customer support and inflight service. She also served as executive vice president, chief people officer from 2010-2014, after being vice president, associate general counsel and director, litigation and regulatory affairs.

Geraghty serves on the board of directors of the JetBlue Foundation, Airlines for America (A4A) and L3Harris Technologies. She is chairperson of the board of Concern Worldwide, an international not for profit. Before joining JetBlue in 2005, she was a partner at the law firm Holland & Knight.

She received her bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross, her master’s in international relations from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law.
