Embry-Riddle Worldwide Commencement in Dallas Honors Record Number of Graduates from Texas and Louisiana

A commencement ceremony on Dec. 1 at the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas, Texas, this year honored a record 120 graduates from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide Campus.

The students earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from eight Worldwide campuses in Texas and Louisiana, representing Embry-Riddle Worldwide locations in Fort Worth-AllianceFort Worth (NAS Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth)Wichita Falls (Sheppard Air Force Base)Abilene (Dyess Air Force Base)San Antonio (Randolph Air Force Base)Houston, Corpus Christi (NAS Corpus Christi),  Louisiana (Barksdale Air Force Base) and the Online Campus.

The commencement address was delivered by Marjorie “Marg” Rose, president of MarketLift, Inc. and the founder of the North Texas Business Aviation Association, which in the past ten years has grown to include more than 400 members. Rose spoke about the paths her career has taken, challenging the graduates and guests to pursue their dreams.

Dr. Jason Ruckert, Embry-Riddle vice chancellor of online education and chief digital learning officer, conferred the diplomas. Dr. Maneesh Sharma, dean of the Worldwide College of Business, as well as the dean of the Worldwide College of Arts and Sciences, were present to hood their colleges’ graduates.

Embry-Riddle Worldwide’s inaugural career fair in Dallas took place just before the commencement, on Nov. 29. Forty companies sent representatives to the fair to connect with job-seekers. An alumni event was held, on Nov. 30.

“The many dividends of an Embry-Riddle Worldwide education were very much on display in Dallas,” said William Muldoon, Embry-Riddle Worldwide vice chancellor of campus operations. “From our inaugural Dallas career fair, to our alumni event providing great opportunities for networking with fellow Eagles, to our record-breaking commencement itself, it is clear that nobody invests in students like we do. We are pleased to bring Embry-Riddle programming to locations throughout the world, ensuring that our students, friends of the University and alumni remain close and enhance our common bonds.”
