Embry-Riddle Reports Positive Covid-19 Case on Prescott Campus
A staff member on Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott, Ariz., campus who had been adhering to all health precautions is currently in quarantine after testing positive for Covid-19.
In keeping with Embry-Riddle’s protocols, the university swiftly contacted health authorities in addition to anyone who had come into contact with the staff member, who has not been on campus since May 25. Five contacts were identified. They are not showing symptoms and they are all in quarantine at this time. All had been adhering to mandatory procedures for equipment sanitation, good hand hygiene, physical distancing and the use of face coverings.
The affected staff member is currently experiencing mild symptoms. We wish our colleague a full and speedy recovery from illness.
Embry-Riddle continues to enforce all health precautions outlined in our Path Forward strategy and Best Practices guidelines, which have been working well. Anyone who has concerns about returning to the Prescott Campus should speak with their supervisor. Be assured that Embry-Riddle will remain flexible in working with individuals on a case-by-case basis to meet educational requirements while prioritizing health and safety.
