Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University reported eight new cases of Covid-19 over the past week, March 25-31, 2022. The case count included six at our Daytona Beach, Florida, campus and two at our Prescott, Arizona, campus. There were no new cases at our Worldwide Headquarters campus. One person was under quarantine at the Daytona Beach campus, and one was under quarantine at Prescott.

Additionally, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has approved booster shots for those 50 years old and over, and Embry-Riddle has these vaccines available at both of its residential campuses. The booster is not required to be considered “fully vaccinated.”

Although the pandemic has finally subsided, Embry-Riddle will continue to report test results until the end of the spring 2022 semester to ensure transparency.

The university continues to strongly encourage Covid-19 vaccinations and booster shots. We also continue to suggest that everyone should be aware of and consider following the current mask guidelines set forth by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC).

The CDC recently eased its mask guidelines. Masks are currently recommended for individuals who are at high risk for severe illness as well as those who live or work in areas with higher levels of community transmission. You can check your county’s risk level on this webpage.

As always, stay home if you are sick and practice rigorous hand hygiene.
