Embry-Riddle Reports 36 New Cases of Covid-19, Nov. 19 to Dec. 2, Urges Vaccinations for All

Thirty-six people at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University tested positive for Covid-19 between Nov. 19 and Dec. 2, 2021 – most on our Prescott, Arizona, campus, where infection rates have been higher across the state.

That case count (36) included 27 at our Prescott, Arizona, campus and nine at our Daytona Beach, Florida, campus. There were no new positive cases at our Worldwide Headquarters campus.

In addition, on the Prescott Campus, 21 people were quarantined after being exposed to the virus during the Nov. 19 to Dec. 2 timeframe. On the Daytona Beach Campus, 13 people were quarantined over the same time period.

Across Yavapai County, where the Prescott Campus is located, more than 26% of all Covid-19 tests came back positive over the past week, state health officials have reported. By comparison, less than 4% of all tests came back positive in Volusia County, where Embry-Riddle's Daytona Beach, Florida, campus is located.

If you have not yet done so, please get your first Covid-19 vaccination or booster shot before you return to loved ones over the holidays. Vaccination is available on campus as follows:

Prescott Campus – Wellness Center:

  • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 8
  • 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9
  • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 15
  • 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16

Daytona Beach Campus + Worldwide HQ

  • Daily in Health Services:
    • 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. No appointments required.
  • In the Mori Hosseini Student Union:
    • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7
    • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8

Bring your health insurance card. Dress appropriately; your upper arm must be exposed for vaccination. For booster shots, bring your vaccination card or a saved image of it.

  • 27 cases confirmed positive
  • 21 people in quarantine

WORLDWIDE CAMPUS HEADQUARTERS

  • 0 cases confirmed positive
  • 0 people in quarantine
