Embry-Riddle Reports 204 New Covid-19 Cases, Jan. 21-27

During the time frame Jan. 21-27, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University identified 204 new cases of Covid-19. That case count included 139 at our Daytona Beach, Florida, campus, 61 at our Prescott, Arizona, campus, and four at our Worldwide Headquarters campus.

In addition, at our residential campuses at Daytona Beach and Prescott, 42 people were advised to quarantine, Jan. 21-27.

We are continuing to recommend wearing masks indoors, particularly in classrooms and during flight training. Embry-Riddle strongly encourages Covid-19 vaccinations and boosters as well as influenza vaccinations.

DAYTONA BEACH CAMPUS

  • 374 individuals tested at Embry-Riddle
  • 139 cases confirmed positive
  • 25 people in quarantine

PRESCOTT CAMPUS

  • 115 individuals tested at Embry-Riddle
  • 61 cases confirmed positive
  • 17 people in quarantine

WORLDWIDE CAMPUS HEADQUARTERS

  • 4 cases confirmed positive
  • 0 people in quarantine

Note: Off-site test results are not included in the numbers provided here. We are seeing an increase in cases being reported based on off-site and home testing.

Only confirmed (not suspected) cases are reported. All confirmed cases are fully disclosed to the university community as well as all appropriate health authorities.
