Embry-Riddle Reports 17 New Cases of Covid-19, Nov. 5-11

Seventeen people at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University tested positive for Covid-19 during the timeframe Nov. 5-11. That case count included 11 at our Prescott, Arizona, campus, five at our Daytona Beach, Florida, campus, and one new positive case at our Worldwide Headquarters campus.

In addition, on the Daytona Beach Campus, three people were quarantined after being exposed to the virus during this timeframe. On the Prescott Campus, 11 individuals were quarantined.

Vaccinations and Testing Continue

Covid-19 booster shots are available on both residential campuses, in keeping with recent U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance.

Those who completed their Moderna or Pfizer vaccination series six months ago, and those who completed their single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine two months ago can get a booster shot.

Prescott Campus

On the Prescott Campus, the Wellness Center currently is offering the Moderna vaccine and booster shots for faculty, staff and students, while supplies last, on Wednesdays from 9 am until 1 pm, and on Thursdays from 9 am until 2 pm.

Covid-19 testing is also available at the Wellness Center, for anyone who has symptoms or thinks they may have been exposed. Testing is fast, easy and painless.

Get a Covid-19 test from 8-10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, and be entered to win a Lego Star Wars: Clone Wars Armored Assault Tank Kit. The prize winner will be notified Thursday, Nov. 18.

Daytona Beach Campus

On the Daytona Beach Campus, faculty, staff and students can receive their first or second dose or their booster shot at Health Services on a walk-in basis, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Testing is also available on the Daytona Beach Campus. Get a Covid19 test during the testing clinics at the Mori Hosseini Student Union and be entered to win a Lego Star Wars: Clone Wars Armored Assault Tank Kit. Clinics will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, and Wednesday, Nov. 17. The prize winner will be notified Friday, Nov. 19.

Bring your health insurance card, your Eagle ID card, and for those seeking a booster vaccine, your vaccination card.

Embry-Riddle continues to emphasize two key preventive strategies:

  • Wear your mask at all times inside Embry-Riddle buildings and aircraft.
  • Get vaccinated as soon as possible, if you have not already done so.
