Embry-Riddle Offers Covid-19 Booster Shots, Reports 14 New Cases, April 8-14, 2022

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University reported 14 new cases of Covid-19 over the past week, April 8-14, 2022. That case count included seven new cases at Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach, Florida campus and seven at the Prescott, Arizona campus. There were no new cases at Embry-Riddle’s Worldwide Headquarters campus.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has approved second booster shots for those 50 years old and over. Embry-Riddle has these vaccines available at both of its residential campuses, as follows, and no appointment is needed:

  • Daytona Beach Health Services, every Wednesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Prescott Wellness Center, every Thursday, noon to 2 p.m.

Although the pandemic has subsided, Embry-Riddle will continue to report test results until the end of the spring 2022 semester to ensure transparency.

The university continues to strongly encourage Covid-19 vaccinations and booster shots. We also continue to suggest that everyone should be aware of and consider following the face mask guidelines set forth by the CDC.

The CDC’s current mask guidelines are online here. Masks are recommended for individuals who are at high risk for severe illness as well as those who live or work in areas with higher levels of community transmission. You can check your county’s risk level on this webpage.
