Embry-Riddle Offers Continuing Education Credits for Aviation Week Network’s Program Excellence Symposium

The future of aviation technology, flexible air-mobility concepts, the future of defense aircraft programs and U.S. Air Force acquisition priorities are a few of the many topics slated for discussion during the Aviation Week Network’s upcoming Program Excellence Symposium.

Attendees at the symposium – the industry’s leading networking event for anyone involved in large or small programs across the commercial, space and defense/security sectors – will be able to earn 0.5 continuing education units (CEUs) through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide Campus.

In addition, discounted registration to the 2017 Aviation Week Program Excellence Symposium and Awards Banquet is available to all Embry-Riddle students and faculty when they use Priority Code PE_Edu.

The symposium, scheduled for Oct. 23 at The Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner in McLean, Va., will feature topics that include U.S. Air Force program priorities, Defense Department approaches to acquisition, urban/air mobility, the new space frontier, the future of military aircraft, the digitalization of the aerospace and defense industry, and processes and practices that will improve program performance quickly.

Speakers will range from program managers and executives to Secretary of the Air Force Heather Wilson and Pentagon pricing czar Shay Assad.  

Sponsored by Siemens PLM Software, the symposium will conclude with an annual Program Excellence Awards Banquet to honor stellar performance across the industry.

Symposium attendees who would like to receive continuing education units through Embry-Riddle Worldwide’s Office of Professional Education should complete an online application form.
