Embry-Riddle Launches Search for Two Vice Provosts
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has announced a nationwide search to fill two senior academic positions: Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and Vice Provost for Academic Affairs.
The two new positions — which will operate from the Daytona Beach Campus, Prescott Campus or Worldwide Headquarters — will report to the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Dr. Kelly M. Austin.

“The vice provosts will interface with faculty, staff, administrators and students to help create an environment that promotes ongoing growth at every level,” added Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Brandon Young. “The successful candidates will work to foster long-term faculty success, create new research opportunities and play key roles in the accreditation and assessment process. Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs
The Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs is the primary institutional resource for faculty matters across all campuses. In this role, the successful candidate will fulfill Embry-Riddle's mission to recruit and retain a diverse faculty, creating policies and programs that promote faculty success and long-term development. The Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs assists in faculty recruitment, orientation, appointment, reappointment, retention, promotion and tenure. They also work closely with deans, academic department heads and faculty leadership to support faculty well-being and productivity, while actively promoting faculty success and recognition. The successful candidate will also provide counsel to faculty relating to rights, grievances, and issue resolution. The new Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs will work at either the Daytona Beach Campus, Worldwide Headquarters or the Prescott Campus.

Vice Provost for Academic Affairs
The Vice Provost for Academic Affairs collaborates with faculty, staff and administrators across Embry-Riddle to fulfill the university’s institutional mission and strategic plan. The successful candidate will play an active role in decision making in the Office of Academic Affairs, and will assist in overseeing institutional accreditation, assessment and licensure requirements. The Vice Provost for Academic Affairs works with different academic areas to develop strategic plans, create policies and collaborate with other divisions to analyze and develop recommendations in response to evolving issues. Responsibilities also include planning, directing, evaluating and developing academic programs, as well as overseeing the development and implementation of any academic MOUs, and ensuring collaboration with Enrollment Management and the Dean of Students at each campus. The new Vice Provost for Academic Affairs will work at either the Daytona Beach Campus, Worldwide Headquarters or the Prescott Campus.
