Embry-Riddle Asia Reaches Five Year Milestone Providing Education for the Region’s Future Aerospace Leaders
A passion and commitment to providing the world’s best education and training for the global aerospace industry will be celebrated at this year’s Singapore Airshow as Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University marks its 90th anniversary and the fifth year serving students in Singapore through Embry-Riddle Asia. The launch of the Singapore-based Embry-Riddle campus in January 2011 was aimed to provide solutions for the region’s growing workforce needs through flexible learning platforms.
“By working closely with partner institutions based in Singapore like the Singapore Aviation Academy and ERC Institute, Embry-Riddle Asia delivers doctoral, master and bachelor degree programs with both part-time and full-time options,” said Graham Hunt, Head of Embry-Riddle Asia. “In addition, the university has established an advisory board encompassing high-profile leaders in Southeast Asia to ensure our degree programs and graduates meet industry needs.”
Embry-Riddle Asia has seen a surge in enrollment from 20 students five years ago to more than 500 today and growing. To date, the majority of students and graduates have been Singaporean, but the diversity of the campus is expanding now that Embry-Riddle’s partnership with ERC Institute provides international enrollment.
Ninety years of innovation has earned Embry-Riddle a solid reputation as the world’s leader in aviation and aerospace education,
“Our long and prestigious history was built on a bold vision and responsiveness to a dynamic industry – key factors in our decision to create Embry-Riddle Asia.”
Since late 2012, the Singapore campus has graduated more than 200 new aerospace leaders who join the more than 150,000 Embry-Riddle alumni and students around the world who are leading and influencing radical designs for unmanned aerial vehicles, development of hybrid aircraft, exotic propulsion systems, safety innovations, clean air technologies, advancements in the business of aviation and leveraging creative thought to achieve the extraordinary.
