Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) Nurtures Transformation

The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), housed within the David B. O’Maley College of Business, is a vibrant epicenter dedicated to cultivating creativity, fostering innovation and empowering entrepreneurship. With a vision to become a global leader in transforming ideas into successful ventures, CIE specializes in aviation, aerospace, space technologies and other transformative industries. Serving a diverse spectrum of stakeholders — from students and faculty to alumni, local businesses and the wider community — CIE is committed to shaping a future where innovation knows no bounds.

The center has achieved remarkable milestones, including hosting the eighth annual TREP Expo, which showcases the top business ideas of 30 student-run startups. From new flight technology for unmanned aircraft systems to innovative approaches in vertical farming, these startups exemplify CIE's commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent.

CIE also recently hosted its annual ESHIP TECH TALK event, featuring student-led startups with revolutionary ideas. This event highlighted the significance of technology transfer programs like NASA T2U and recognized student teams for their outstanding work, including ventures such as SolaraFuel, Acreage Farms, Helios Link, Limitless Aeronautics, Eyes For You and Project eFlight.
