How to Add an Alternate/Personal Email Address to Your Handshake Account

ERAU student accounts are pre-populated in Handshake using your ERAU email address. Your ERAU email address is your default primary email, where you'll be sent communications from Career Services via Handshake, as well as Handshake notifications and marketing emails. Now, you can choose to add alternate (personal) email addresses to your Handshake account and use an alternate email as your primary email address. 

Users with activated Handshake accounts, can add an alternate email in Handshake by:

  • Clicking on your account icon in the upper-right corner of the Handshake screen, then click on Settings from the menu
  • On the page that loads, scroll down to the bottom of the Account Information section to "Emails" and click on + Add another email
  • A textbox will appear in that space–enter the email address you'd like to add, then click Add to the far right of the textbox
  • You will now be sent an email asking you to confirm your email address
  • Once your email address has been confirmed, you can now use any email associated with your account to log in
  • You can view and manage all your emails in Settings
