The passion of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s staff and faculty, continuing physical growth on campus and in the Research Park and cementing the institution’s place as a leader in innovation were just a few of the themes echoed by Embry-Riddle President Dr. John P. Johnson on Monday during the annual State of the University presentation for faculty and staff.
“Passion. It’s in everything we do,” Johnson said to a packed ICI Center at the Daytona Beach Campus. “The heart and soul [of the university] is the people.”
The presentation included Board of Trustee Vice Chairman Jim Henderson and several updates from Cabinet members representing External Relations and the Research Park (Lou Seno) and Marketing, Communications and Enrollment (Bill Hampton). A Daytona Beach Campus faculty/staff update from Chief Academic Officer Dr. Richard Heist was immediately following.
Dr. Johnson will present the State of the University address on the Prescott, Ariz., campus on Sept. 12. The Worldwide address will take place Sept. 25 in Orlando, Fla.
