Embry-Riddle Interim President Dr. Karen A. Holbrook has recently been named a Senior Fellow with the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils (GFCC), a network of leaders committed to accelerating global prosperity through fostering innovation ecosystems.

Through her fellowship, Dr. Holbrook will consult on the development of the GFCC by advising on initiatives and projects, advising the international organization’s Board and Executive Team, and assisting in expanding its global network.

Citing Dr. Holbrook’s more than 25 years in academic leadership and strong background in health research, GFCC President Deborah Wince-Smith said her “dedication to fostering strong research institutions in the United States has helped to develop a culture of innovation and discovery.”

A GFCC Fellowship is by invitation only, and fellows are selected by the Board based on contributions they have made to their respective countries and the global competitiveness agenda.
