Embry-Riddle Ranked Among Best Employers in Arizona

Top Companies
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has once again been named one of the 100 “Top Companies to Work for in Arizona,” awarded by job-search provider CareerBuilder and Republic Media, publisher of The Arizona Republic.

The global leader in aviation and aerospace higher education, Embry-Riddle has a residential campus in Prescott, Ariz., for traditional students as well as several campuses around the state for civilian and military adult learners operated by the university’s Worldwide Campus.

The “Top Companies” honor is based on employee satisfaction surveys and an evaluation of the employer’s human resources programs, benefits and workplace culture.

“We believe very strongly that if we provide a welcoming, secure and challenging workplace for our faculty and staff, our students reap the benefits,” said Dr. Frank Ayers, chancellor of the university’s Prescott Campus. “We call it the Embry-Riddle Family, and it is for real.”

The “Top Companies” winners were honored at a breakfast reception and published on azcentral.com on June 7 and will be acknowledged in a special supplement in the June 12 edition of The Arizona Republic. The full list of the “Top Companies” and related stories can be found online at www.bestcompaniesaz.com/careerbuilder.

In previous recognition, by BestCompaniesAZ, Embry-Riddle was rated one of the “100 Best Places to Work in Arizona” in 2012 and one of “Arizona’s Most Admired Companies” in 2011.

The university has accrued several best-employer accolades over the years including consecutive nods from The Chronicle of Higher Education, the nation’s most respected publication covering colleges and universities, as one of the nation’s “Great Colleges to Work For.”

These workplace awards rate Embry-Riddle highly in the categories of job satisfaction, compensation and benefits, respect and appreciation, work/life balance and professional/career development programs. The university’s 2,500 employees around the globe enjoy competitive salaries, paid personal leave, paid holidays off, a 403(b) retirement plan with Embry-Riddle gift and matching contribution, health insurance and a four-day summer workweek. Additionally, tuition waivers give employees and their families access to a world-class Embry-Riddle education.

“Due to the hard work and dedication of our amazing faculty and staff, the university is growing significantly in not only the quantity and quality of our students, but we’re opening new residence halls, athletic facilities, and a new Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) facility this year,” Ayers added. “We are proud to be members of the vibrant Prescott community and proud to offer an outstanding education to students from across the nation.”
